Don’t you just love it when you discover a restaurant you’ve never heard or seen before and you end up loving it? That’s what happened with Krapow! MNL.

My boyfriend and I went to Ramen Keisuke next door when we saw Krapow MNL. I then bookmarked this place and remembered to pay it a visit when I craved for Thai food 2 weeks ago. Check out everything we ate:

Crispy Chicken on Hainanese Rice ₱345

One of my favorites is their crispy chicken on Hainanese rice. It’s got everything you want on a plate ~ something crispy, juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. To top it all off, the crispy chicken pairs so well with their Hainanese rice. I enjoyed the dish just as it is, even without the sauce or additional condiments. 

Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp ₱390

My least favorite out of everything we ordered is their Thai fried rice with shrimp. Don’t get me wrong, it was okay, but the flavor is just a bit different from what we had in Bangkok. I loved that it had some basil leaves incorporated in the rice and the contrast it gives to every bite. The fact that it was topped with your not-so-average-sized shrimps that were delicious is another plus, apart from the fact that its serving size is also good for sharing. 

Thai Pork Skewers ₱385

The third dish we had from their menu is a dish recommended by our server: their Thai pork skewers and it was delicious. An order comes with sticky rice and 5 sticks of their pork skewers. I really liked their skewers as the meat was really tender to bite, and I enjoyed it even better dipped in their sauce. 5 pieces was also a lot for one serving, although if this is your only order, you might need to order some extra rice.

We actually planned on having some mango sticky rice for dessert but it was a bit pricey and I wasn’t sure if we would’ve finished it in case the serving size was huge since we were already full. I’m interested to try it, though, together with their milk tea and tom yum.
