Where to get your Korean cream cheese garlic buns
After the sushi bake craze comes the newest food trend in Metro Manila: Korean cream cheese garlic buns. I have been seeing a lot of sellers all over Facebook, from small businesses to established ones. Some of them are cheap, while others I find too expensive. But I'm not even curious to try all those, because I have found the ONE.
Lady's Bakery MNL is a small business that started selling cookies since the beginning of quarantine. And just recently, she decided to add Korean cream cheese garlic buns to her menu.
She has two flavors available: the classic cream cheese garlic (P100/bun), and the mozzarella cream cheese garlic (P130/bun), which are 3.5 inches in diameter. Both of them are really good. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It has a slight sweetness to it that goes well with the flavor of garlic and the creaminess of the cream cheese. Both are also oozing with filling (Lady is extremely generous when it comes to this!) Needless to say, you'll really get your money's worth with every bun.
But if I were to choose a favorite, I'd definitely go with the mozzarella, especially since I am a cheese lover. I just love the saltiness and texture that the cheese adds to the buns. For me, it makes the combination of the flavors more harmonious and addicting.
These buns really don't disappoint. I assure you. So go order yours today! But make sure that you can handle it, because once you try one, you'll surely be craving for more (just like me and my family)!
Budget: from P100 per bun
