It's been a year since I've tried Fatburger for the first time. I remember it to be a good one, although I found it rather expensive. This year, I decided to come back and try it again, as they open their second branch at the Mall of Asia Complex.
This branch has a noticeably different ambiance from the one in Glorietta. While I remember the first one to look more like a diner, with a brighter interior. This branch looked darker, especially with the use teal colors instead of the original red.
I had their original burger in a lettuce wrap. Of course, the burger would've been better in a bun, but this wasn't so bad given that it was healthier, and it highlighted the flavor and juiciness of the patty, plus the lettuce gave each bite a nice crunch. I also ordered a side of their skinny fries for an additional P95, which I've had before, but didn't really have the same taste. I liked it better on my first visit. The batch I got was a bit soggy.
Fatburger can find a place in my top 10 best burgers, but it certainly wouldn't be on the top. Like I said on my first visit, meals can be a bit pricey here when you start adding extras (egg, fries, onion rings, etc.)
