It's a bit hard to keep track of restaurants you want to try out these days. But thanks to the power of social media, I was able to discover this small and humble restaurant that came into my mind when I suddenly craved for roast meats.
8 Treasures is a Hong Kong restaurant located at the Petron station near Dasmarinas village's EDSA gate. The restaurant offers roast specials and other famous Hong Kong dishes.

I ordered their 3 combination rice toppings because I wanted to try a lot of the roasts they offer. I went with the roasted duck (add P40), lechon Macau, and charsiu pork. I liked all of them, although the charsiu pork was a bit dry. The lechon Macau had thick layers of fat, but the meat was certainly tender, and the skin had a nice crisp. I enjoyed dipping it in the vinegar sauce provided.

My boyfriend ordered a 2 combination rice topping, and he chose to have the white chicken and roasted duck. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy the white chicken since it looked bland, but it tasted surprisingly great especially when paired with their ginger sauce. The roasted duck was also to my liking, although it didn't really taste different from other restaurants'.
It's great that I found a new, reliable and accesible restaurant to cater to my roast meats craving. Do give it a try and let me know what you guys think!
