Dining with Great Ambiance 'til Sun Down at Providore
Providore is one of the busiest restaurants in SM Aura. This restaurant and cafe from The Raintree group serves a variety of dishes from the Italian cuisine, plus a few more dishes taken from the Filipino cook book. They also have cakes and pastries, and alcoholic drinks that seem perfect to have on their patio after the sun comes down.
Their extensive menu made us spend no less than 10 minutes trying to figure out what to order. The photos on the menu also made each order look small, which made it even harder for us to decide.

Chicken fillet with garlic butter herb served with housemade fries, side salad, and 2 pieces of dinner rolls. I really liked the chicken a la kiev. Even their side dishes tasted great. I just think the chicken itself was a bit under-seasoned. That, or the garlic herb butter sauce wasn't enough to give the chicken the flavor it should have.

| Macaroni Pimiento 4 Cheese Gratin P395 |
Mac and cheese made with cheese pimiento cream, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, and house cured smoked bacon, served with 2 dinner rolls. The nac and cheese was also a hit, especially since I love all things cheese. The taste of the pimiento was subtle yet it gave the contrast in flavors that the mac and cheese needed to avoid getting to the "umay" stage. What could've made this better, though, is if they topped it with breadcrumbs instead of chunks of bread.
We were astonished with how huge each order actually is. We were able to realize this later on, when we started looking around the restaurant to see what everyone else had ordered.
It's too bad we only got to try two dishes from Providore. But then again, with plates that big, I don't think we can finish those orders and still manage to consume a third plate without falling into a food coma. I was actually eyeing on a matcha cheesecake for dessert which I wasn't able to get anymore. I guess what I'm trying to say is: I'm not yet done with you, Providore.
